Monday 12/20/10

The students had a longer than usual Music practice for the program on Wednesday and will have another one tomorrow.

The Holiday Party will be tomorrow at 1:30 instead of 2:00. The students have Art at 2 and we weren't able to move this. They will be back from Art at 2:35 and we will continue the party and start cleanup. Remember to bring a gift!

Thursday 12/16/10

We have been very busy getting out stories done and they are ALL DONE! YAY!

Tomorrow we are skiing. Please make sure you are dressed warm! Extra layers are a great thing!

Food Drive

Iron Range Youth for Action is sponsoring a food drive to help support the local food shelf. There is a competition between the elementary grades. While I was in Cherry, my class won 2 years in a row! I would like to carry that on in Babbitt. I am encouraging the students to bring items in by giving 1 extra credit point for each item donated. These points will be applied to the subject with the most need.

The deadline for donating items is December 20th. All nonperishable food items are being accepted!

I want to apologize for missing a few days on here. I was sick and wasn't able to get to the blog.

Please get all permission slips in for Giants Ridge! If the slip is not turned in, your child will have to stay home.
